NARDMO has the following objectives: 

To develop, establish and maintain standards of qualification for persons to be issued domestic or international certificates of registration to practice manual osteopathy.

  • To develop, establish and maintain international programs and standards of practice to assure the quality of the manual osteopathy profession.
  • To develop, establish and maintain international standards of knowledge and skill and programs to promote continuing evaluation, competence and improvement among the manual osteopaths.
  • To develop, establish and maintain international standards of professional ethics for manual osteopaths.
  • To promote and enhance relations between NARDMO and its members, other health profession associations, key stakeholders, and the public.
  • To develop, establish and maintain international standards and programs to promote the ability of manual osteopaths to respond to changes in practice, environments, advances in technology and other emerging issues.
